Cadbury Bros. Ltd Representative's Visiting Card

Cadbury Bros. Ltd Representative's Visiting Card

Back to the story

T1785. The visit of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in 1905 to open the new No 9 Dock required a great deal of preparation and planning. The Town Council of Stretford had decided to present each child in the district with a presentation box of chocolates and a handkerchief. The Council wrote to Cadbury to ask them what the price would be for five thousand tins of chocolates. The Company replied by letter enclosing a visiting card with it.
